Whoopsedaisy!

OK, OK! I just HAVE to share this or I'm going to bust at the seams!

Happy Dance!!
I have been on a letter-writing campaign for about the last two years with appeals and all with a health insurance company. Specifically the health insurance company I THOUGHT I was covered by when I had my Gastric Bypass surgery.
Turns out, they changed the company policy 20 days before I had my procedure and I didn't know about it because...my husband was already in county lock-up.
But that didn't seem to matter to very many people.
So I finally caved about a month ago; wrote the hospital. Told them I didn't know how I could ever pay off that huge bill and wasn't there some grant or foundation or SOMETHING we could do.
Dear sweet Keri (who is now my best friend forever!) calls me up yesterday from the hospital. After explaining what happened on their end, she delivered the astounding news that my entire $16,000.00 hospital bill has...
DISAPPEARED.
Gone. Phttt. Nada. Zip. Written off.
Ho..
Ly..
COW!!
I laughed. I cried. I told Keri I loved her. I'm sure she thinks I'm a nutcase. But that's OK!!
Praise the Lord from Whom all Blessings Flow! YEEEEEEHAWWWWW.
I still owe the doc and the anaesthesiologist and the psychologist and a few other - - ologists. But the load is sure a ton lighter now.
Thank you, God and thank you to the nice lady who pushed the wrong button in the Samaritan Hospital computer. I love you.
Whoever you are.
