Thirteen Random Things in my Life.
- Have a sore throat and a fever. Feel yucky.
- Had to turn down a chance to assist at a birth because I feel yucky.
- Found my math book on Amazon. Paid for it and emailed the seller to see if he could ship it fast as I am getting BEHIND. Which causes me STRESS. He said he would meet me at the post office...cuz he lives in my little town! In Oregon. NO WAY! What a blessing.
- City office called and offered me $50 towards my Water and Sewer bill. Cuz they know I've been past due on it pretty much ever since I moved here 14 years ago. They had some FEMA utilities grant funds to give away. And thought of me. What ANOTHER blessing!
- MG says he's jealous of me cuz I get so many blessings. :D
- Been working on a County-wide fullscale emergency services exercise involving school evacuations, fake bombs and lots of planning. We pulled it off yesterday. Not that I deserve any credit. But I'm glad it's finally over.
- Made a friend at EMT class. She lives in my area and we are going to carpool some. That will save on gas $$!
- Kids are all healthy.
- MG loves his job and he's doing great at it. I think it makes him feel useful.
- I passed my CPR for Healthcare Providers class on Saturday. Course I was SORE from spending all that time on my knees on the floor doing "rescue breaths" and "chest Compressions", but I did it!
- The kids love my Tuesday/Thursday sitter. She's doing a great job.
- I have a roof over my head, food to eat, water and electricity. And a 'puter! What more could I ask for.
- OH! I know! COFFEE. Thank you, God, for coffee. It soothes my sore throat and keeps my eyelids open. Ahhhhhh!

The rest of it though, sounds pretty good. Food to eat, a roof over your head, and a computer - God is so good!

other than feeling icky, sounds like you do have many blessings. Chuck started taking an EMT class too, every Mon and Thur til April. His teacher isnt very good but he has had lots of patient contact over the past 10 years so he already knows most of the stuff. He isnt looking forward to anatomy.

Hope you get to feeling better. I felt bad last thursday ,but I forgot all about it when I was going around to all of the other 13ers. I love this it takes my mine off of a lot of things.
Sorry you are not feeling well, and you missed a birthing event. That would have been cool! There will be more opportunities, I'm sure.
