Sunday aftermath and Number Four funnies

The kiddos spent Saturday and Sunday with Gramma.

Wish I could have left them there about five minutes after I picked them up. My mother says "Oh my! They didn't act like this before you got here!!"
YAH!
I understand, they do that all the time. #3 is running laps around the living room, #2 is having a conniption fit on the floor because she can't find her coloring book and #4 is squealing at the top of her lungs because she likes the way Gramma's new 3000+ square-foot-house echoes.

It's a good thing MG and I had a wonderful time. That made it worth it.

Anyway, I survived getting them home, in bed and then up again this morning and out the door for school.

And I DO MEAN SURVIVE. They were horrible. "Mom, he hit me!" "Mom, she's looking at me" "I can't find my backpack! WAaaaah!" "You are NOT wearing those holey pants to school, young lady" "FINE!!" "WhatEVER!"

Lord, help me.

And He did.
He sent me #4. She stays home with me two days a week when preschool isn't in session and today she was in fair form with the Comedienne routine!

"Mom, Gramma says I'm cute and cuggily." And so you are!!

"Mom, when people talk about "the Great Beyond" do they mean Heaven?" When did you get to be so grown-up, little lady?!

"MG, where did you come from?" He tried to explain where his city of origin is and she just scowled at him; her little eyebrows drawn up together. "Well, I don't know where that is, but I'm sure glad Mom found you!" I am, too! And HOW!

"All the girls in my class have long hair now, because they want to be like me!" No problems with self-esteem here. No Sir!

And just in case you didn't know, Cinnamon rolls are a dolphin's favorite food.

I hear ya girl. We left the kids at my moms overnight when we went on our fishing trip. When we got to her house the next afternoon the kids went crazy. Mom and Grandma said,"they've been great all day, until you guys got here"
But I am glad they were good for mom... it would have been nice if they had extended that courtesy to us
